Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and monitor all parameters for the safe and efficient production of silicone extruded rubber products.
- Adjust machines for proper extrusion and winder operations.
- Measure and gauge material thickness using micrometers and quality control tools to ensure consistent product performance.
- Package extruded tape and case products according to customer specifications.
- Ensure sufficient raw materials are available to meet daily production needs, accurately recording material usage.
- Perform scheduled housekeeping, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Conduct and document in-process inspections to maintain product traceability.
- Communicate with quality, shipping, and value-added departments regarding product quality issues and material availability.
- Perform cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Handle nonconforming materials through proper documentation and tagging processes.
- Assist in the training of new employees as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of previous extrusion experience preferred.
- Proficient computer and inventory system skills.
- Basic math and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to use micrometers and other measuring tools.
- Experience operating lifting and moving devices
