Responsibilities:

As a Design Engineer in our Launchers product unit, you will be responsible for developing and designing composite and metallic structures for cutting-edge aerospace applications.

Key responsibilities include:

• Take design ownership on various projects.
• Create draft concepts, concept studies, and design trade studies per specifications.
• Prepare bid proposals, presentation documents, and concise design descriptions.
• Lead and execute detailed designs, including complete assembly and interface drawings.
• Coordinate and collaborate with assigned designers, technology teams, and manufacturing.
• Integrate advanced concepts, materials, and technologies into designs.
• Prepare technical documentation (assembly plans, part and assembly drawings, parts lists, specifications, and test samples) using CAD, SAP, and other tools.
• Manage design data, release, and change processes.
• Evaluate proposed changes and process non-conformities (NCs).
• Support manufacturing, testing, and product assurance activities.

Requirements:

• Education: B.S. in Engineering (required).
• Experience: 3+ years of relevant industry experience preferred.
• Technical Skills:
  • Structural analysis of composite and metallic materials (static, dynamic).
  • CATIA proficiency.
  • FEMAP/NxNastran experience.
  • ABAQUS or other non-linear solvers (a plus).
  • MATLAB expertise.
  • Hand calculation methods.
• Other Skills:
  • Proven track record of leading multiple schedule-critical development projects.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Cost and schedule awareness.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
